Lois Dyess Waters, 86, died Monday, September 10, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Evans County, Georgia, daughter of the late Russell C. and Zellie Odum Dyess. Mrs. Waters was retired from Memorial Hospital and attended Bible Baptist Church. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Craig Alan Waters, sisters, Frieda Dyess Williams, Brenda Dyess Jefferson and brother, Cecil Dyess.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Russell R. and Anna Marlette Waters of Savannah; grandson, Zachary Robert Waters; son, James Stanley Waters of Savannah; grandson, Christopher James Waters and three great grandchildren.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 13, 2012 in the Islands Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
